Hi, am Amber. I have spent more of my years teaching group classes but have shifted to private one which I so enjoy and can spend more specific time with each client.
Here are some of the services that I offer:
Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure and slow, deep strokes into the muscle and myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. These techniques are mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues such as strain and injury. The client is on a massage table and fully draped.
Thai Yoga is unique from other types of bodywork and massage, Thai Yoga Bodywork is also a form of Yoga Therapy that combines rhythmic massage, assisted yoga poses, acupressure along energy meridians, healing energy work, and meditation. The client is fully clothed in comfortable, flexible clothing.
Restorative Exercise: Alignment and movement matter! Dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system can result in issues such as bunions, plantar fasciitis, diastasis recti and pelvic floor disorders to name a few. We have a biological need for lots of varied movement, however, many of us try to squish a whole day's worth of movement into 30min, sit at a desk all day, drive many hours a week or stand too long. I get it! We have to work and take care of children and parents and cook and…... There is a way to live our lives and take care of our bodies too. In your RE sessions you’ll learn how to recognize movement opportunities throughout your whole day and ways to stack your life nutritiously. You’ll also learn what parts of you are working well and what’s not and how to wake up sleepy spots in the body so that when you move, more of you is moving. We’ll start with an alignment assessment then practice an exercise program that’s just for you.
