Who am I? I am an adventure-seeking, outdoor-loving, coffee-drinking girl who happens to love therapy. I am also a huge nerd who can be found reading, playing video games, and playing with my pups on any given day.
Want to know something that I believe wholeheartedly? You matter. Deeply. Truly. You are worth the effort of building a life worth living. So whether you are working towards building that better life or needing some support wherever you are, I hope you know how welcome you are in my office.
I am a firm believer that we were made for connection. We learn, grow, endure, and flourish in relationships with others. Relationships can be both beautiful and difficult. In the counseling relationship, you can expect me to meet you where you’re at with compassion and understanding in order to walk with you towards where you want to be. I approach counseling utilizing primarily a humanistic theoretical approach where you are viewed from a holistic lens. With that in mind, based on your needs, I will implement tools and strategies that best serve you as my client.
In therapy with me, you will have a safe and secure space to discuss whatever you’re experiencing right now. We will explore what strengths you have already within you and any areas where additional support may be needed. You can count on the fact that you will not have to go alone. You can expect to remain autonomous in your decision-making while being challenged in a safe and grace-filled environment. My desire is that you will come away from therapy feeling more connected to yourself and to others around you.

Quote:
Sam: I know. It’s all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened. But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to, Sam?
Sam: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.
