Hello, my name is Madeline Smith and I have been a licensed therapist since 2020 and started working at Hope Springs in January of 2023.
A little bit about me professionally: I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia and went on to receive my master’s degree in co-occurring addiction and mental health counseling from Hazelden Betty Ford. I have previously worked in addiction treatment since 2018 and found this work incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I work now primarily with mental health issues, however I do specialize in addiction counseling. I work well with individuals struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, life changes, relational and family issues, and addiction.
A little bit about me personally: I have been happily married to my husband for 4 years and we welcomed a sweet baby boy in early 2024. I also have a dog named Sprout that is wild and crazy, so he unfortunately cannot be a therapy dog. I love being outdoors, hiking, laying in my hammock, going to coffee shops, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am also a self care enthusiast and love baking sourdough bread, knitting, reading, and making photo albums.
I love my job and have a strong passion for being of service to others. Therapy can feel daunting and scary, but let me be one of the many to tell you that I am so proud of you for beginning this journey to self enlightenment, healing, and an overall happier life. I look forward to working with you!
Please note, I do not accept insurance, but a monthly super bill will be uploaded to your client portal should you wish to submit for reimbursement. HSA & FSA cards are accepted.
